HueCheck uses AI-powered analysis of three photos: your face (for skin tone, eye color, and hair shade), your wrist (for vein color undertone analysis), and a fabric draping test (white vs cream). Our algorithm analyzes your undertone, contrast level, and depth to map you to one of 12 sub-seasons.

You need three photos taken in natural daylight: 1) A clear face photo with no makeup, 2) A photo of your inner wrist showing your veins, and 3) A draping test photo with white and cream fabric near your face. The app guides you through each step.

Artificial lighting can distort skin tones and vein colors, leading to inaccurate results. Natural daylight provides the most neutral and consistent lighting for color analysis. For best results, face a window or go outdoors on a cloudy day.

Our AI has been trained on a wide range of diverse skin tones to deliver reliable results. The multi-step analysis (face, wrist, and draping) ensures accurate results across all complexions when photos are taken in proper lighting conditions.

Free users receive one complimentary analysis. Premium subscribers can retake their analysis anytime. If your first analysis seems inaccurate, it may be due to lighting conditions — try again in natural daylight for the best results.

The free version includes one color analysis with your basic season result (Spring, Summer, Autumn, or Winter), your top 10 best colors, and a shareable results card.

Premium unlocks your detailed 12 sub-season analysis with 50+ personalized colors, the HueCheck It™ clothing checker, virtual try-on, hair color suggestions, makeup recommendations by brand, closet audit, and outfit builder.

Subscriptions are managed through the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android). Go to your device’s Settings > Subscriptions to manage or cancel your HueCheck subscription. You’ll retain Premium access until the end of your billing period.

You can delete your account through the app (Settings > Account > Delete Account), through our online deletion page at huecheck.app/delete-account, or by emailing privacy@huecheck.app. All your data, including photos, will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

Your photos are encrypted in transit and at rest. They are processed by our AI to extract color data only — we do not use facial recognition and your photos are never used to train AI models. You can delete your photos at any time through the app settings. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
